Saudi Arabia's new Riyal sign has its own Unicode character, U+20C1. With zatca_erpgulf, showing it in your print formats takes just two lines.

Step 1: Load the font

Add this line anywhere inside your print format's <style> block:

{{ saudi_riyal_font_face() }}

This loads the Riyal font, which zatca_erpgulf embeds directly into the page. There's no URL to configure and nothing to install, and it works in both the print preview and the PDF.

Step 2: Show the symbol

Wherever you want the sign to appear, use:

<span class="riyal">&#x20C1;</span>

Example

<style>
    {{ saudi_riyal_font_face() }}

    body { font-family: "DejaVu Sans", Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; }
    .total { font-weight: bold; text-align: right; }
</style>

<div class="total">
    Total: <span class="riyal">&#x20C1;</span> {{ "%.2f"|format(doc.grand_total) }}
</div>

Output: Total: ⃁ 1,250.00

One thing to watch

Use &#x20C1;, not &#x20C0;. The second one is the Kyrgyz Som sign. Some older templates use it, and it can look identical on paper, but it's the wrong character for anyone who copies, searches or processes your PDFs.

Requirement

Your site needs the latest version of zatca_erpgulf. After updating, run bench restart and bench --site <site> clear-cache.
